Régua Railway Station

Régua Station opened in 1879 and serves Peso da Régua on the Douro Line. Its importance grew from 1906, when it became the junction between the Douro Line and the old Corgo Line climbing to Vila Real — for decades the wine, the freight and the people of the whole Baixo Corgo passed through here. It remains in service and is the point of arrival for anyone reaching the Douro by train from Porto.
