Régua Quay

Peso da Regua

Régua Quay, in Peso da Régua, is the main boarding point for Douro river cruises — Régua has long been considered the capital of the demarcated region. Departures range from mini-cruises of around an hour, which take in both banks beside the town, to longer sailings up to Pinhão and on to Barca d'Alva near the Spanish border. Heading upriver, boats pass through the lock at the Régua dam, with a drop of about 27 metres.
