A masterpiece of 19th-century Portuguese neoclassicism, the Palácio da Bolsa was built by the Porto Commercial Association. Its interior is a splendour of luxury and detail, with highlights including the Arab Room — one of the most beautiful interiors in Portugal — inspired by the Alhambra in Granada, decorated with gold, silver and Moorish-motif stuccowork.
