São Bento railway station is one of the most beautiful in the world, famous for its 20,000 azulejo tiles adorning the main hall, created by artist Jorge Colaço. Painted in 1930, they depict historical scenes from Portugal and everyday scenes from the Minho region. A living art museum in the heart of Porto.
