Campelo and Ovil River Area

Baião's bathing area lies on the banks of the Ovil river, in the Campelo and Ovil Forest Park, laid out along the river's south bank. Besides the water, the park has a fitness circuit, a picnic area and a shaded leisure zone — as much a place to spend the day under the trees as a place to swim. The same river also holds the more secluded Praia Fluvial da Fraga do Rio. The Ovil runs clear and still supports trout and barbel.
