Set in an old wine press that has been carefully restored, O Lagar is a restaurant and wine bar in Queimada, in the municipality of Armamar. It has been running since 1999, and one of its rooms keeps a granite wine press typical of the Douro.
The kitchen leans on roasts from the wood-fired oven, above all kid goat, plus house specialities such as Picanha à Lagar and Bacalhau à Zé Pedro. The wine list is selective and focused on local producers. There is a terrace for summer days, and the space holds 70 to 80 guests.
