The Monumento ao Poeta Fausto José stands in Aldeia de Cima, parish of Aldeias, municipality of Armamar, next to the poet's house. It is recorded with a date of 2005.

Fausto José was born in Aldeia de Cima in 1903 and died at his home in the same village on 26 September 1975. A law graduate of Coimbra, he served as a registrar in Porto Santo, then as councillor and mayor of Armamar. He contributed to the journal Presença and belonged to the Coimbra literary circle of José Régio, Casais Monteiro and Miguel Torga. According to the available documentation, the tribute is a bust of the poet on a pile of his books, and the village's central square bears his name.

Aldeia de Cima is about 2.5 km in a straight line from the centre of Armamar and is reached by car. The village has several armorial houses, mostly from the 17th century, easy to see on foot.
