The Igreja Paroquial de São Domingos is the main church of Fontelo, in the parish of Fontelo, Armamar municipality, on Travessa das Almas, in the centre of the town.

Fontelo has a notable past: it was a commandery of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, which is why the parish coat of arms bears the Order's cross, and it was a municipal seat from 1514, the date of its Manueline charter, to 1835. It was raised to the status of town in 1999. On São Domingos hill, with its hermitage typical of medieval pilgrimages, is one of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Douro, with the Marão range ahead and the river far below. The parish's heritage also includes the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Cedro and the Paço do Bispo, an eighteenth-century house with a coat of arms. We found no reliable source for the church's date.

The church is about 3.4 km in a straight line north-west of the centre of Armamar. No opening hours are published.
