The Igreja Paroquial de Santa Senhorinha stands in Tões, in the parish and municipality of Armamar, on Rua do Batareu. It is the Catholic church of this small hillside village in the southern Douro valley, set among orchards and vineyards.

According to the parish history, in 1527 Tões was a hamlet of only 30 households within the district of Armamar, and the independent parish of Santa Senhorinha did not yet exist: the village was attached to the parish of São Miguel de Armamar. The dedication to Santa Senhorinha is therefore tied to the religious autonomy of this community. We found no reliable source giving the construction date of the present building, so none is stated.

The church lies about 2.4 km in a straight line from the centre of Armamar and can be reached by road from the town. The chapels of Santo António and Nossa Senhora da Guia, both in Tões, are nearby. No visiting hours are published; check with the parish or the Armamar municipality.
