The Cascata de Misarela is a waterfall right in the town of Armamar, parish and municipality of Armamar, where the waters of the Temilobos stream plunge on their way to the Douro.

The municipality calls it a natural monument, a beautiful spot that popular imagination has filled with tales and legends. Beside it is the Misarela viewpoint, next to the parish church of São Miguel: from there you see the village of São Joaninho below, the Douro valley beyond and, on the horizon, the Serra do Marão. There is also a wooded observation point for the falls, with tables and benches, pleasant for a rest.

It lies about 500 m from the centre of Armamar. For a better view of the falls, the municipality advises driving down the road towards São Joaninho and stopping just outside the town. Wear sturdy shoes, as the ground is steep.
