The Capela de São Lourenço is in Queimadela, in the parish of Queimadela, Armamar municipality, on Rua de São Lourenço (postcode 5110-460), on a high point of the village.

It is one of the oldest places of worship in the village: according to the parish history, before the parish church was built around 1748, Queimadela had at least the hermitage of São Lourenço. The same source highlights the chapel as an excellent spot from which to enjoy the surrounding landscape, notably the city of Lamego and the valley of the Varosa river. We found no reliable source on the construction date of the present building or on any associated feast.

The chapel lies about 5 km in a straight line south-west of the centre of Armamar, at the western edge of the municipality. Besides the view, a visit can take in the church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade and the apple orchards that cover most of the parish. No opening hours are published.
