The Capela de Santo António stands on Rua das Eiras in Queimadela, in the parish of Queimadela, Armamar municipality (postcode 5110-459).

We found no reliable sources on this building's construction date, style or feasts, so we keep to what is certain. Queimadela lies at the western edge of the municipality, above the Varosa river, and is one of the region's oldest settlements: a mid-12th-century reference already placed it beneath Monte Raso, in the territory of Lamego. The village had a strong tradition of pottery and tile making, and traditional coopering in chestnut wood survives to this day. Farming concentrates on apples.

The chapel is about 5.1 km in a straight line south-west of the centre of Armamar, and a few minutes' walk from the church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade. Visitors to the village will also find the chapels of São Lourenço and Nossa Senhora do Carmo. No opening hours are published.
