The Capela de Nossa Senhora do Loureiro is in Aldeias, in the parish of Aldeias, Armamar municipality, on Avenida da Igreja, a few dozen metres from the parish church that shares its dedication.

We found no reliable source on the construction date, style or history of this chapel, so nothing concrete is claimed about them. What is known about the village is that the parish of Aldeias was created in 1947 and that in Aldeia de Cima families linked to the nobility settled, as shown by the group of houses with coats of arms, mostly seventeenth-century, many with private chapels. The population lives mainly from farming: table and fortified wine, potatoes and fruit.

The chapel is about 2.3 km in a straight line north-west of the centre of Armamar and is easily visited on foot along the same route as the parish church and the other chapels of Aldeias. No opening hours are published.
