The Capela de Nossa Senhora do Carmo stands on Rua do Vale in Queimadela, in the parish of Queimadela, Armamar municipality (postcode 5110-467).

We found no reliable source on the construction, style or feast day of this chapel. About the village it is known that Queimadela lies at the western edge of the municipality, beside the Varosa river, in the valley of the Monte Raso, with wide views over Lamego, Régua and the Serra do Marão. It is an old settlement: it was already mentioned under Monte Raso in the early days of the kingdom, and became a parish of its own only in the 18th century. Farming today rests mainly on apples, which cover 197 of the parish's roughly 202 hectares of farmland, and the tradition of coopering survives.

The chapel is about 4.8 km in a straight line west of the centre of Armamar. It combines well with a visit to the church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade and the chapel of São Lourenço in the same village. No opening hours are published.
