The Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição is on Rua do Balcão in Aldeias, in the parish of Aldeias, Armamar municipality, beside the old core of the village.

We could not establish from reliable sources the construction date, style or any feast day of this chapel, so the text keeps to what is certain. The village has a curious history: between the 13th and 16th centuries it was called Aldeia de Santa Maria, and oral tradition says the settlement moved from the Marmorinhos site to its present location because of a plague of ants. The parish was created in 1947 from places belonging to Armamar.

It lies about 2.3 km in a straight line north-west of the centre of Armamar, a few steps from the parish church of Nossa Senhora do Loureiro and the chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe. A walk through the village lets you see the houses with coats of arms in Aldeia de Cima and the various chapels. No opening hours are published.
