The Capela da Senhora da Piedade, or hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Piedade, stands on the hill above Gogim, in the parish of São Martinho das Chãs, municipality of Armamar.

On the same site a smaller chapel dedicated to Santa Maria Madalena survives, along with the hermit's house and schist buildings that once housed pilgrims arriving from many places. The pilgrimage is still held on the last Sunday of May. Tourism sources say the hermitage dates from the 17th century and that its facade has Baroque elements, such as the portico and the oculus.

Gogim is the centre of fruit growing in the municipality, with apples the dominant crop, and the parish lies in the south, already in a transition zone to a colder climate. The hermitage is about 4 km in a straight line from the centre of Armamar and can be reached by car up to the hill; check the final access before setting out.
