Considered one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world, Livraria Lello opened in 1906 and is a masterpiece of neo-Gothic architecture. Its famous red spiral staircase, stained glass windows and carved wooden shelves create a magical atmosphere that inspired J.K. Rowling in creating the Harry Potter universe.
