Painted Memories — José Pedrosa Exhibition 2026

From 8 August to 11 September 2026, the Gondomar Municipal Auditorium hosts "Memórias Pintadas" (Painted Memories), a solo exhibition by painter José Pedrosa bringing together canvases devoted to the landscapes, traditions and people of the Gondomar municipality.

Throughout the exhibition rooms, visitors will find scenes of the Douro river, images of grape harvests and farm work, and portraits of everyday life in the riverside parishes — a personal, affectionate view of a region shaped by centuries of connection between its people and the river.

The show is part of the municipality's summer cultural programme and has free admission, making it an accessible stop for anyone wanting to get closer to the visual identity and collective memory of the Douro territory through painting.
