ZigurFest 2026 — Lamego

ZigurFest returns to the streets of Lamego from August 20 to 22, 2026, with free admission to every show. The festival takes over four landmark spots in the city — Teatro Ribeiro Conceição, Rua da Olaria, the Alameda and Bairro da Ponte — turning them into open-air stages devoted to contemporary culture.

The lineup blends music, performance and installation art: highlights include Aires and Dan Iro with their immersive ambient sound, the minimalist subversion of Plano Trifásico, the celebratory energy of La Familia Gitana, and an artistic residency by Vasco Alves exploring the psychoacoustics of the town's spaces. The programme also features Tribo Improviso, Dora Vieira, David Machado, Mangualde e Prado, Riva Mut, Lesma, Clarisse e os Desviados, Alomorfia and KIK.

This edition marks a turning point for the festival — the last time it will take place exclusively at the height of summer. For visitors to the Douro region, it is a chance to experience Lamego beyond its baroque and religious heritage, through a free, intimate and genuinely contemporary programme.
