Vinho Verde Wine Fest 2026

From September 4 to 7, 2026, the Alfândega do Porto hosts the Vinho Verde Wine Fest, one of the largest events dedicated to the Vinho Verde wine region, organized by its regulatory viticulture commission. Around thirty producers present more than 150 Vinho Verde wines for tasting, with a programme that includes guided tastings, chef-led showcooking sessions, food stalls, DJ sets and live music across the four days. Although Vinho Verde is produced north of the Douro river, the event takes place in the heart of Porto, on the riverfront, making it a natural stop for visitors combining a city break with a trip to the Douro wine region, offering a chance to compare northern Portugal's two great winemaking traditions.
