Douro Open Wine Estates — Spring 2026

The Douro Open Wine Estates — Spring 2026 invites wine lovers and nature enthusiasts to discover the interiors of the Douro Valley's finest wine properties. On April 25-26, dozens of quintas along the Douro Valley open their doors for guided tours, wine tastings and unique gastronomic experiences.

This initiative, promoted by IVDP and CVR Douro, is a rare opportunity to explore centuries-old cellars, walk through flowering vineyards, and meet the producers behind the wines that enchant the world. In spring, the vines display intense green tones, framed by terraced hillsides that make the Douro one of Portugal's most photogenic landscapes.

Participating quintas include Quinta do Crasto, Quinta da Roêda, Quinta do Vale Meão, Quinta do Vesúvio and many others. Each quinta proposes a different programme: some focus on reserve wine tastings, others offer vineyard picnics or rabelo boat trips.

How to Participate

Most quintas require advance booking. We recommend staying in the Douro and exploring several quintas over the weekend.
