The Douro Wine Festival — Lamego 2026 takes place May 15-17 in the historic Largo da Sé de Lamego, bringing together the best wine producers from the Douro Valley in an event celebrating the excellence of Portuguese wine.
Lamego is one of the Douro's most iconic cities, famous for its 12th-century Romanesque Cathedral, its unique Lamego sparkling wine, and the delicious chestnuts and hams from Serra da Nave. The festival uses this historic setting to create a unique sensory experience where Douro flavours meet architectural heritage.
The programme includes guided tastings by guest oenologists, cooking demonstrations with regional chefs, live concerts, and a local producers' market with cheeses, cured meats, olive oils and other regional products.
