The address is Bemposta, 5200-079 Mogadouro, at coordinates 41.3039 N / -6.4788 W, just off the EN 221-7 road on the Portuguese bank of the Douro Internacional — the canyon stretch where the river forms the border with Spain. Booking.com lists the Douro Internacional Natural Park at 0 ft, meaning the property sits inside the park, and Las Arribes del Duero 1.4 mi (2.3 km) away. The Faia d'Água Alta waterfall is 4.3 mi (6.9 km) away and the Romanesque features of the Ermita de la Soledad, across the border in Spain, are 6 mi (9.7 km) away. The nearest eating places listed on the page — Restaurante Medieval, the La Calle café and Bar Colomba — are all about 9.7 km away, so it pays to arrive with supplies. The centre of Mogadouro is 13 mi (21 km) away and Bragança Airport 60 mi (97 km).

The four houses

Every house is rented in its entirety and comes with garden, mountain and river views, air conditioning, heating, a private entrance, a private bathroom with shower, towels and linens, a TV, a patio and terrace with outdoor furniture and dining area, and a full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine, kitchenware and dining table. The Two-Bedroom House measures 78 m² and sleeps up to 4 (from EUR 97 per night); the Three-Bedroom House measures 83 m² and sleeps up to 6 (from EUR 113); the Four-Bedroom House measures 100 m² and sleeps up to 8 (from EUR 129); and the Vacation Home, the largest, offers 220 m², six bedrooms and a large dining room for up to 12 guests (from EUR 194). These rates were checked on Booking.com for a two-night stay in September 2026, include the EUR 50 cleaning fee per stay and exclude 6% VAT.

There are two outdoor swimming pools, both free of charge and open to all ages: one open all year and one seasonal. The grounds include a garden, sun deck, picnic area, barbecue and outdoor furniture. One practical warning: the Booking.com listing states "no internet access available", so do not count on Wi-Fi in the houses.

Policies

Check-in runs from 15:00 to 21:00 and check-out is until 11:00; guests must show photo ID and a credit card and let the property know their arrival time in advance. Pets are not allowed and the whole property is non-smoking. Quiet hours are from 23:00 to 08:00. Children of all ages are welcome: a crib for ages 0-2 is free on request and an extra bed from age 9 costs EUR 10 per person, per night.
