The viewpoint faces south-west, making it ideal for sunset viewing throughout the year. On clear days, it is possible to identify the bridges crossing the Douro between Régua and Pinhão, the quintas on the opposite slope and, on the horizon, the soft lines of the Serra do Marão. Autumn, with the harvest and chromatic transformation of the leaves, is especially recommended.
