About the Event
Sabrosa Summer Fest 2026 brings free open-air entertainment back to this small Douro town across four dates between August 6 and September 5. The festival opens on August 6 at 9:30pm at Largo das Fontainhas with a performance by local artist Vitor Pica, followed on August 19 at Largo da Praça by the theatre piece 'ContoContigo – Anjos Nus' from company Peripécia Teatro, and on August 26 by a night of fado at the Anfiteatro da Fonte Luminosa, led by project Fadouro.
The closing night falls on September 5 at 10pm at B.B King Parque, headlined by singer Aurea for the 2026 edition. Organised by Sabrosa's town council, the festival mixes music, theatre and street entertainment across the village's most emblematic venues, timed to the tail end of the Douro summer.
With free entry to every show, Sabrosa Summer Fest is a good reason to extend a visit to the heart of the Douro Vinhateiro region, pairing the UNESCO-listed terraced landscape with the relaxed atmosphere of a small wine-country town in full festive swing.
