17th Provesende Wine & Olive Oil Fair

On October 3 and 4, 2026, the Aldeia Vinhateira of Provesende, in the municipality of Sabrosa, hosts the 17th edition of the Wine & Olive Oil Fair, one of the Douro's key gastronomic events dedicated to promoting these two emblematic regional products. The fair brings together local producers of Douro DOC wine and Port wine, along with olive oil from the demarcated region, amid traditional music, cultural entertainment and craft stalls along the village's schist-stone streets. Provesende is one of the Douro's twelve classified Aldeias Vinhateiras (wine villages), with a heritage of manor houses and chapels bearing witness to centuries of winemaking history. Besides tastings and direct sales, the programme includes guided heritage tours and family activities. Admission is free; tastings and purchases are paid directly to producers.
