A cycling event in stunning scenery
The Love Tiles Douro Granfondo is an endurance cycling event that takes place in the Douro Demarcated Region, a place that, as well as being the oldest regulated wine region in the world, is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Participants in the event will have the opportunity to cycle between vineyards, terraces, historic villages and the banks of the River Douro, on a journey that, in addition to the sporting challenge, provides a real immersion in the culture and nature of the region.
The routes of the Love Tiles Douro Granfondo 2023
The Love Tiles Douro Granfondo 2023 features three different routes, adapted to different levels of fitness and experience of the participants:
Granfondo: With a distance of approximately 154 km and an accumulated gradient of around 2,274 meters, this route is the most demanding and challenging, aimed at the most experienced and physically well-prepared cyclists.
Mediofondo: 102 km long and with an accumulated gradient of around 1.804 meters, this route is ideal for cyclists with an intermediate level of fitness and experience, who want to take on a smaller but still significant challenge.
Minifondo: With a distance of around 57 km and an accumulated gradient of around 800 meters, this route is perfect for beginner cyclists or those who prefer a more moderate challenge, with the chance to enjoy the scenery and the experience without the extreme demands of the other routes.
Regardless of the route chosen, all participants will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery, passing historic sites, vineyards, bridges and other landmarks in the Douro region.
Categories and entries
The Love Tiles Douro Granfondo 2023 is open to participants of all ages and levels of experience, and is divided into different age and gender categories. To guarantee participation in the event, those interested should register via the official website.
